Async Advisory

A senior paid media strategist in your corner – answering questions, reviewing dashboards, pressure-testing decisions.
On your schedule. No meetings required.

Ex-Tesla (first global growth hire) · €100M+ in paid media managed · 31 countries

You need strategic input.
You don’t need another meeting.

You have a question about your Meta budget allocation. You want someone senior to review your Q3 channel plan before you present it. Your agency sent a proposal and you’re not sure if the numbers are realistic. Your team is debating whether to test YouTube and nobody has the experience to make the call.

These are 15-minute questions that require 10 years of experience to answer well. You don’t need to hire a fractional growth leader for them. You don’t need to book a €300/hour consulting call. You need someone you can Slack when the question comes up and get a thoughtful, informed answer by the next business day.

That’s what this is.

How async advisory works

You get a private Slack channel with direct access to me. When a strategic question comes up – channel allocation, test design, agency evaluation, dashboard interpretation, budget decisions – you send it. I respond with a detailed text answer or a Loom video walkthrough, depending on what the question needs.

There are no scheduled recurring calls (unless your tier includes them). No project scope. No SOW negotiation for each question. You ask. I answer. The quality of my answer is informed by the same experience I bring to €8-15K audits and €5-12K/month fractional engagements: €100M+ in paid media managed, incrementality testing at Tesla, and pattern recognition from working across dozens of companies.

WHAT CLIENTS TYPICALLY ASK:

  • Should we increase Meta budget or test YouTube first?
  • Our agency wants to add TikTok. Is it worth it at our scale?
  • What incrementality test would you design for this campaign?
  • How should I present our paid media results to the board?
  • Can you look at this dashboard and tell me what’s off?
  • We’re about to sign an annual contract with our agency. Can you
    review the terms?
  • Our CAC went up 30% this month. Is it seasonal or structural?

Three tiers to match your stage

BASE – €2,000/month

What’s included:

– Private Slack channel with direct access to me
– Up to 15 questions per month
– 24-48 hour response time
– Text or Loom video replies (whichever the question requires)
– Monthly dashboard review (I review your key dashboards and send a Loom with observations, risks, and opportunities)

Best for: Seed to early Series A companies spending €50-100K/month on paid media. You have a team or agency executing campaigns and need a senior strategist to sanity-check decisions, answer hard questions, and catch problems before they become expensive.

PRO – €3,000/month

Everything in Base, plus:

– 1x 30-minute call per month (for questions that benefit from live discussion)
– Up to 25 questions per month
– Priority same-day response
– Quarterly strategy review (a structured 60-minute session where we step back from day-to-day questions and look at the bigger picture: what’s working, what should change, and what to prioritize next quarter)

Best for:
Series A companies spending €100-250K/month. You’re making bigger decisions more frequently and need faster turnaround. The quarterly strategy review adds a structured planning layer that Base doesn’t include.

SCALE – €4,000-5,000/month

Everything in Pro, plus:

– 2x 30-minute calls per month
– Unlimited questions
– Ad-hoc Loom audits (I record walkthroughs of specific campaigns, accounts, or reports when you need a deeper look at something specific)
– Team coaching access (your marketing team can ask me questions directly in the Slack channel, not just founders or VPs)

Best for: Series B+ companies spending €250K+ per month. You have a growing marketing team that needs ongoing access to senior strategic guidance. At this tier, the advisory functions as a lightweight fractional engagement with lower time commitment.

All tiers: 3-month minimum commitment.

Who this is for

THIS IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You have a team or agency executing paid media, and need a senior strategist available for questions and reviews
  • You’ve finished a Growth Audit and want continued strategic input without committing to fractional
  • You’re budget-constrained for a €7-12K/month fractional engagement but still need senior-level thinking on paid media
  • You prefer async communication over scheduled calls – You need a sounding board for decisions, not someone managing your campaigns

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

  • You need someone to own your paid media strategy end-to-end → That’s Fractional Head of Growth
  • You need a one-time strategic assessment with a deliverable → That’s a Growth Audit
  • You need someone to manage your ad campaigns day-to-day → That’s an agency or a media buyer
  • You’re spending less than €50K/month on paid media → The questions that arise at lower spend levels are typically execution-level, not strategy-level

Why this works better than what you’re doing now

YOUR AGENCY ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS FOR FREE. BUT THEY’RE NOT INDEPENDENT.

Agency teams are optimizing what they manage. They’re not positioned to tell you whether you should be on entirely different channels. When you ask “should we increase our Meta budget?” the answer is almost always yes. I have no campaigns to manage, no retainer to protect, and no reason to tell you anything other than what I actually think.

The experience behind every answer

When you ask me a question in Slack, the answer draws on:

  • Building Tesla’s global growth performance function from zero. Scaling paid media to $10M per quarter across NA, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Launching Tesla’s first YouTube campaigns (20M unique viewers, 35% search lift, 30% incremental leads).
  • Restructuring Tesla’s paid search architecture.
  • Integrating incrementality testing into marketing operations as the measurement standard.
  • Managing €3M per month in paid media at lastminute.com across 8 products and 7 markets.
  • Restructuring fragmented paid search architecture and introducing new layers of automation.
  • Delivering +158% conversions and +67% ROAS in Germany.
  • Auditing paid media at Amboss and capturing ~€85K per year in immediate optimizations.
  • Designing a 26-test roadmap projected to unlock up to €365K per year.
  • Advising clients at BlueAlpha on channel selection, test design, and incrementality best practices across D2C, e-commerce, and B2B SaaS.

This is not theoretical knowledge. Every answer I give is informed by campaigns I’ve built, budgets I’ve managed, and tests I’ve run.
The advisory format gives you access to that experience without the overhead of a full engagement.

How it works in practice

ONBOARDING (FIRST WEEK):

I set up our private Slack channel. You grant me read-only access to your ad accounts and analytics dashboards. I do an initial review and send you a Loom with first observations, questions, and any immediate red flags. This orients me to your setup so my answers from day one have real context.

ONGOING:

You ask questions when they arise. I respond within the SLA for your tier (24-48 hours for Base, same-day for Pro and Scale). Complex questions get Loom walkthroughs. Dashboard reviews happen monthly. Calls happen per your tier schedule.

WHAT COUNTS AS A “QUESTION”:

A question is a distinct strategic topic. “Should we test YouTube?” is one question. “Should we test YouTube, and also can you review our Meta campaign structure, and also what do you think about our landing page conversion rate?” is three questions. This is to ensure each question gets the depth it deserves.

UPGRADING AND DOWNGRADING:

You can move between tiers at any renewal point (every 3 months). If you realize you need more involvement, you can also transition to a Fractional Head of Growth engagement.

PAUSING:

If you need to pause (team change, budget freeze, seasonal slowdown), we can pause and resume without penalty. I’d rather keep you as a long-term client at your pace than lose you because life happened.

FAQs

As your fractional head of growth, I own the strategy. I’m embedded with your team 10-20 hours per week, I attend standups, I manage agency relationships, I hire people.
In async advisory, I answer your questions and review your work. You and your team own the execution and the strategy. I’m the senior second opinion, not the decision-maker.

On Base and Pro, the channel is for founders and VP-level stakeholders. Keeping the channel to 1-2 people ensures the questions are strategic, not operational.
On Scale, your marketing team has direct access.

It happens occasionally. I won’t cut you off mid-month. If it becomes a pattern, we’ll discuss moving to Pro. The limits exist to ensure each answer gets real thought, not to nickel-and-dime you.

CET (Central European Time). For US clients, that means my responses arrive by your morning for questions sent the previous day. For UK and EU clients, same-business-day turnaround is standard.

Yes, and several clients have done exactly this. A month or two of advisory gives us both context. If a full audit is warranted, I’ll tell you. If it’s not, I’ll tell you that too.

The engagement continues month-to-month. You can cancel with 30 days notice, upgrade to a higher tier, or transition to a different engagement (audit or fractional) at any time.

Yes. I sign a mutual NDA before onboarding. Your ad account data, strategic plans, and all Slack conversations are confidential.

On Pro and Scale, you get same-day response. On Base, the SLA is 24-48 hours. If something is genuinely time-sensitive (agency contract deadline, board meeting prep), flag it and I’ll prioritize. This is a relationship, not a ticketing system.
